How it all began...
The idea for Bead & Tassel all began on the very day this picture was taken. We were celebrating Big Sis Anna's very first Mother’s Day! Of course, we started the day with mimosa brunch at Mama Foo Foo's in Daytona Beach, FL and then headed to the beach.
Little Sis Lacey was rockin' our Multicolored Fringe Earrings (we call them the “OG earrings”) and a leopard bikini. Anna couldn't get over how much the earrings completed the look and made Lacey look like a rockstar!
The perfect bridesmaids gift...
A few years back, Anna gifted these earrings to Lacey as part of a bridesmaid gift. Lacey wasn't really an earring person before this, but she started wearing them out to brunch, karaoke, happy hour, the beach. She couldn't believe how many compliments she got, especially from the boys (which is a major plus as a single lady)! Lacey became obsessed with these fun, beaded statement earrings and wanted more, but couldn't find them anywhere!
Meanwhile, back on the beach...
As Lacey was telling Anna about her search for more statement earrings, Anna started to think, "why don't we start an earring business of our own!?" We loved the idea of bringing unique Florida inspired beaded statement earrings to the masses!
As we were getting our tan on, we couldn't stop talking about what makes these earrings so special. What makes them give us that feeling that we're a freakin' rockstar when we walk into the room!? You know that confidence boost you get after a blowout, when your nails are done, and you're wearing that cute new fit?! That's the feeling we get every time we put these earrings on, even if we're having a bad hair. We decided our earrings HAD to be unique, fun to wear, make a statement, and be super lightweight so you can rock them all night long!
We started Bead & Tassel a few days later and the rest is, as they say, history!
What's ahead for Bead & Tassel...
The "OG earrings" (aka our Multicolored Fringe Earrings) and this Mother's day brunch and beach day will always hold a special place in our hearts.
